There is you

Years roll on, time goes by,
there is you.

Tears do flow, tears do dry,
there is you.

Fears arise, fears subside,
there is you.

Many miles may divide,
there is you.

Sorrows fade, as does pain,
there is you.

Laughter, joy, love remain,
there is you.

And I give thanks.

Scouring the Shire, part II

Shire

15 February 2014

Physically exhausted,

emotionally drained,

the scouring continues.

After a nap.

See you along the Trail.

Scouring the Shire

photo (59)09:58:34

15 February 2014

Snow blankets the Shire, powdered sugar on pastry.

The aroma of coffee, strong coffee, fills the air.

A friend comes to visit soon,

no mark on the door needed for me to know.

Time to prepare, to make ready, to clean.

photo (58)Enthusiasm seizes me, energy surges through me,

the scouring begins.

See you along the Trail.

Home

Thanks to a friend, I will always know when I am home.

Shire

May everyone have reminders of safe places they can call home.

See you along the Trail.

Facebook moments

Facebook moments.
The photo of a friend’s new baby.
The announcement of a new job.
The good news of a test passed.
The realization of shared values.
Bring a smile.

Facebook moments.
The departed family member.
The deceased friend.
Present in the Spirit.
Present in cyberspace.
Tug heartstrings.

Facebook moments.
Echoes through the past.
Reminders of what was.
Stabs of longing lost.
Taunts of what will never be.
Challenge us to change.

With gratitude for Myra Hutchins

Proud to Be – National Congress of American Indians

It is time to change the names and mascots of a number of teams. It is past time.

The National Congress of American Indians (NCAI), the oldest, largest, and most representative American Indian and Alaska Native organization serving the broad interests of tribal governments and communities, produced this video.

See you along the Trail.
