4 Dec #Focus #AdventWord 2018

4 Dec #Focus

Arthur focuses on the ball.
The artist focused on Arthur.
I focused on the statue.

The Advent devotional project, #AdventWord  is offered by the Society of St John the Evangelist. Each day a word is provided and participants are invited to share images and/or reflections and to use hashtags so our reflections may be included in an Advent Calendar with others from around the world.

So it begins. Again

I had hoped to include a photo, but I was not happy with any of the ones I took. I’ll try again.

Today marked the beginning of a new self-care effort. Eating well. Walking. Working out. Stretching. Drinking water. Probably more.

There’s a lot to do. And I hope to do it..

See you along the Trail.

A moment from yesterday I am thankful for

IMG-8535 (1)

The closest I have ever come to seeing an actual opera. I went to support Rutgers Presbyterian Church and my friend, Robert Williams, who participated in the talk back after the performance. The performance and Robert were both awesome.

A friend I am thankful for

Friends2

The last time I saw Ted Hickman.
A reminder of friendship and love.
A reminder that there are ends in life.

A taste or food I am thankful for

Food November 4

This one proved a bit of a challenge. I like to eat. I do it well. Too well, my doctor tells me. I have a definite preference for eating food rather than photographing it. I found this one from a Sunday brunch at Community Food and Juice.

A color I am thankful for

Food

It should come as no surprise that purple is the color. Thanks to the saints of First Presbyterian Church of Whitestone for a purple birthday party.
