The Until We Meet Again Tour – 9 July 2016

The Until We Meet Again Tour wandered down to Times Square. The day began with a long workout with NK Body Philosophy. Sermon writing followed. Grace Ji-Sun Kim and I entered a number of ticket lotteries for Broadway shows. We both won tickets to An American in Paris. Grace and Elisabeth went. I continued the sermon writing process. While waiting for the show, we checked out a bit of the fourth annual Street Soccer USA New York City Cup.

Why I like New York 27: tourists

As I sat waiting for the shuttle to take me from Times Square to Grand Central this morning, I watched a couple of tourists make the mad dash across the station to the train door. They entered the car, smiled and hugged each other. Joy filled their eyes as they pulled maps from their pockets and planned their day. Joy filled my heart as they reminded me how blessed I am to live in this amazing city.

See you along the Trail.

Why I like New York 21: honesty

You can find it anywhere, but something about honesty in New York resonates with me. I don’t always agree, but I do respect it.

The lungs of the train

The doors open when
the number three train
grinds to a stop in Times Square.

Passengers pile out,
passengers pile on the cars,
filling the lungs of the train.

After the exchange, refreshed,
the train pulls from the station,
resuming its uptown journey.
