On our final day in Dublin,
for this trip,
we visited St.Stephen’s Green
where we saw ducks,
busts of Joyce and Markievicz
a Boer War arch,
a statue of Tone,
reminders of the Famine,
and purple flowers.

For nearly ten years,
I called the Shire in Louisville
home.
In a world where too many people
have no safe place,
I am blessed to have several places to call home.

The last time I saw the Berlin Wall,
it was in one piece
and it cut the city in two.
Visiting the Jeju 3 April Peace Park,
I saw a section of the wall
and reflected on the blessings of walls coming down.

They are not purple flowers, but I found this display that includes
purple thorns to be one of the most intriguing visuals for Lent
that I have seen in some time. This is in the sanctuary of the
Central Dream Dome – Jeonju Jungang Presbyterian Church
in Jeonju, Republic of Korea.
I spoke there on the morning of Thursday 21 March 2013.
See you along the Trail.

When you find yourself
standing on the nose
of a fire-breathing dragon,
suspended over a cliff,
do you have the faith
to step off in trust?
