Pre-flight

To my left, a man
gently pummels himself;
a man to my right
stretches and flexes.
Pre-flight rituals
remind me of a locker room,
without the smell,
and, since I have none,
makes me wonder if I should.

Contrasts

Contrasts
differences
diversity
expand us
enrich us
enlighten us.

Picture 1

Picture 2

They both fly.
Their colorings are similar.
I took both pictures on the same day
while standing in the same spot
waiting for the train
on the 125th Street subway station platform
From there the contrasts take over.

See you along the Trail.
