Pictures and words

I have decided to post a series that works through the alphabet with pictures. This could get interesting. I found a picture of a bee and determined that the title would be “B” is for bee. Pretty original, I know.

That led me to think – what if I did this for each letter of the alphabet. If I did, I would want to start at the beginning. I turned back to my pictures and found an “A.” I prepared to post the picture and then found myself thinking – how might this become more challenging – and more interesting.

For example – what if I chose all pictures from National Parks? Or Ghost Ranch? Or peacemaking events? Or family trips?

Now it occurs to me – what if I wrote a brief reflection? I had originally thought about identifying the place and date of the picture. But maybe I could write more.

Perhaps I should call it quits for the night before this gets too complicated.

See you along the Trail.

First picture post

The Steelers are at halftime.
They started well
but pretty much self-destructed over the last few minutes of the first half.

They now trail
and they have to kick off to begin the second half.
The good news is that they have played better on defense.

At any rate,
As the half came to an end,
I decided to do something other than overeating.

It appears easy enough.
At least it worked this time well enough.

The picture dates from October 19, 2009
during a break in an event at
George Fox University
in Newberg, Oregon.

See you along the Trail.

Proof

People always seem somewhat amazed and surprised when Tricia and I end up in the same place. It happens.

One place it happens is under the Presbyterian Big Tent. Two years ago we had a picture taken with Valerie Small. This summer, at Big Tent Two, Tony Aja snapped a picture of us while at dinner. No doubt Tricia and I will get together again – at least in two years. Maybe we should hold the Big Tent more often.

See you along the Trail.

Stages

Three stages in the life of a thistle – “something prickly and hard to eradicate” to kind of quote Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World.

Not sure what to make of this yet, but it has me thinking.

See you along the Trail.
