AdventWord 2022 – December 12 – #wilderness

This was a challenge. I have not been to many places that are truly wilderness spaces or at least that fit my understanding of a wilderness.

Ghost Ranch, the setting for this photo, is beautiful and outdoors. But it is really well developed in terms of being a wilderness.

Still it remains a semi-wild place that feeds my soul and spirit.

Sacred

“You are on sacred land.”

One friend said that to another friend who is at Ghost Ranch.

“You are on sacred land.”

I have said that to friends who are at Ghost Ranch.

“We are on sacred land.”

I have said that when I have been at Ghost Ranch.

All those statements are true. And so is this one:

“All land is sacred.”

Every place.

All called good.

Every acre.

All entrusted to our care.

Every bit.

All land is sacred.

All ground holy,

A place I am thankful for

Nature Nov 29

Ghost Ranch. New Mexico.

Traci Smith, author of Faithful Families: Creating Sacred Moments at Home has provided a gift of the November 2018 Gratitude Every Day calendar. I am using it as an opportuity to revisit photos and post them as they speak to gratitude.
