How are you tomorrow?

One of the usual employees was working the counter where I set my items.

“How are you?” he asked.

“Doing well,” I replied.

“And how are you tomorrow?” he inquired.

I paused as I pondered his question. A number of possible responses flashed through my mind.

And then I thought of Adolfo and others who had died too soon, too young, too suddenly. And I remembered that tomorrow is not promised. While planning for the future is important, this day, this time, this moment is all we have for certain.

Focusing on this moment, we can live. Truly live. Fully live. May it be so.

See you along the Trail.
