The 2010 tour of the northern Great Plains
took Tricia and me to the
Mount Rushmore National Memorial.
We marveled at the mammoth stone
and the incredible feat of design and engineering
cut into the rock.
We marveled at the intricate beauty
of purple flowers
found along one of the trails.
